Definitions

Flourish: (of a person, animal, or other living organism) Grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, esp. as the result of a particularly favorable environment,

Shame: A painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.

False Shame: A measure of value defined by an outside source  upon an action that the person committing the action does not agree with.

Guilt: The state of one who has committed an offense especially consciously; feelings of culpability especially for imagined offenses or from a sense of inadequacy.

Heteronormativity: The cultural bias in favor of opposite-sex relationships of a sexual nature, and against same-sex relationships of a sexual nature.

Sexism: Discrimination based on gender, especially discrimination against women.

Heterosexism: Discrimination or prejudice against homosexuals on the assumption that heterosexuality is the norm.

Transphobia: Tranphobia is an irrational fear of, and/or hostility towards, people who are transgender or who otherwise transgress traditional gender norms.

Internalized Homophobia: Directing cultural antigay messages towards oneself. It operates on both a conscious and unconscious level, and it has been empirically linked to depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, low self-esteem, psychological distress, self-hatred, shame, loneliness, and intimacy problems.
