Meet Daniel

Daniel Borysewicz, MDiv, CSR is a progressive, sex positive, hospice chaplain and educator seeking radical inclusion for all people; regardless of race, nationality, sexual or gender identity, or socio-economic class. As a spiritual guide, Reiki practitioner, educator, facilitator, and U.S. Navy veteran, Daniel works to provide solutions for problems that individuals struggle with including shame, desire, and grief to name a few. This is accomplished through one-on-one interactions, support groups, education events, and social media. Diverse experience as a natural networker and leader who connects people, ideas, and resources to improve the spiritual and emotional wellbeing for all people, including those living in the margins.

Daniel is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program at Iliff School of Theology (www.iliff.edu) to expand on his work on dismantling shame.

Daniel is a Reiki Practitioner, through the tutelage of Dr. Kirk Prine, CMT, Reiki Master at Flesh and Spirit Community (www.fleshandspirit.org) in San Francisco, CA and a Shamanic Energy Medicine Practitioner in the Peruvian tradition of the Q’ero through the tutelage of Drake Bear Stephen (www.drakeinnerprizes.com).

Daniel received a Masters in Divinity (M.Div.) and a Certificate in Sexuality and Religion (CSR) from Pacific School of Religion (www.psr.edu) in Berkeley in May 2013, a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona in May 2009, with a focus on Religious and Queer Studies and a A.A. in Anthropology from Pima Community College in May 2007. And Daniel is a member of The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and The National Coalition of Sexual Freedom (www.ncsfreedom.org).

Daniel is currently a Spiritual Care Counselor with Hospice of the East Bay (www.hospiceeastbay.org) in Pleasant Hill, CA; Community Educator; and volunteer clergy at Metropolitan Community Church San Francisco (www.mccsf.org).
